From linear to circular
As petroleum-based raw materials become increasingly scarce, we at Joh. Sieben see it as essential to use them efficiently and responsibly. That’s why we’re transforming our packaging approach — from a traditional linear model to a circular one, where materials are reused again and again. Together with our customers and partners, we’re working hard to steadily increase the share of recycled materials in our packaging. Our goal? To reach 50% recycled content by 2030 — and we’re not stopping there. Let’s make a difference together!
In a linear economy, products are tossed after just one use. It’s a real shame, because all those valuable materials — perfectly recyclable — end up in the bin for no good reason!
We’re collecting more and more used packaging and turning those raw materials into something ready for reuse. We call this a “chain economy with recycling” — a stepping stone on the journey to a fully circular system!
Our vision? 100% circular by 2050. That means fully reusing the raw materials from used packaging — even giving residual waste a second life. In the end, waste as we know it will be a thing of the past. And we’re actively committed to making that future a reality. Glad to help!
